Arnhem is perhaps the most socially responsible and sustainable chair range available. Timbers are salvaged from mine-site clearances in remote Northern Australia by Indigenous owned sawmills. These timbers would traditionally be burned, releasing carbon into the atmosphere. The timbers are then cut and graded for attractiveness, with “high character” (attractive grain variations) being put aside to create the frames of the Arnhem lounge range, which is made in Australia using this fabulous hardwood and highest quality foams and fabrics of your choice.
The use of hardwood makes this product immensely strong, but it also means it can be sanded and refinished throughout the years if the lacquer wears.
