The Department of Infrastructure located in the heart of Canberra needed its reception area to be welcoming, practical & comfortable while reflecting the same vitality of the buzzing Canberra atmosphere. Winya worked closely with the Department of Infrastructure to achieve this beautiful result, did it swiftly and most importantly kept within time constraints. The result? A beautiful reception area incorporating custom patterns and colours.
Winya utilised collaborative loops using Kvadrat statement fabric to bring life to the large open space, the honey comb design evokes feelings of life, youth and vitality. The green accents combined with the timber coffee tables tie into the brown marble pillars which creates an overall wholesome aesthetic. The combination of Kvadrat fabric on the backs of Winya’s loop collaboration lounges ties into the black and white patterned tiled floors incorporating building design with the furniture that is placed in it opening up the room and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The timber bar tables combined with the quirky yellow and green bar stools with cushioning bring vibrancy to the space without sacrificing comfort. The timber tables are a perfect place to meet and collaborate which boosts overall company productivity and success.
The long stool with timber topped white metal framed coffee tables spaced across provides a perfect client and visitor waiting space while also allowing for an area to work or relax. The grey topped long stool is a perfect tie in to the overall rooms aesthetic, combining with the tiled floors and the wooden accents to create a look that is pleasing to the eye.
Winya chose to keep the aesthetic of the space modern, natural and cohesive. In doing this we were able to ensure the room remained and felt open and large despite the pillars and structures blocking off certain areas.
