The Australian Bureau of Statistics located in the heart of the Sydney Central Business District needed to create a space that accounted for and paid tribute to the traditional cultural ancestors of Australia. Winya worked to help The Australian Bureau of Statistics create their ‘Yarn’ space in time for NAIDOC Week. The result? A space for reflection and collaborative work full of colourful Indigenous pieces.
Winya’s Boomotto worked as a focal point in the ‘Yarn’ area utilising bright colours and leather top finish for maximum quality of wear. Winya also utilised collaborative seating in order to ensure that the ‘Yarn’ area maintained a welcoming and open quality, perfect for having a yarn.
Winya’s coffee tables also helped to ensure the space was practical for collaborative work. The wooden accents of the tables brought further life into the already colourful space.
