Pyrography
Pyrography, also known as wood burning, is the free handed art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks. This technique has now been used to engrave artwork onto different types of surfaces and bring design to live in a unique way.
Customize It Your Way
Using wood burning technique, Winya can customize your choice of wooden or acrylic furnishing products, such as boardroom tables, desks, soft seating frames and tabletops.
We can work with you to create a design based on your concept, or develop your artwork into a format that can be used for pyrography.
Handmade on Wiradjuri Country
Winya has been built on a profit-for purpose model and we always seek different ways to support our Indigenous community. For wood burning projects, we work with a young artist from the Wiradjuri Country whose heart is deeply rooted with her mob.
MEET OUR ARTIST
Yuwin Ngadhi (My name is) Shelby-Rae. I am a proud Wiradjuri woman born in Narrandera NSW, my home, my safe place. The place i run to when i need to connect with my culture, put my feet in the grains of sand that sit on the bank of the Marrambidya (Murrumbidgee River), listen to the Murraany (cockatoo’s) squarking among the gumtree’s and be with my mob. My love for graphic design and art in general has always played a huge part in my life.
